Alain Van de Maele, portraits photographer based in Court-Saint-Etienne (Belgium)

I took my first camera in my hands when I was a teenager. It was my dad’s SLR, a superb Canon A1. I started with street photography but after a few years, working life having caught up and I put aside this passion.

In 2017, I decided to resume photography … and started portrait photography. I followed a workshop with a professional photographer and a few weeks later, I was doing my first photoshoot in the greenhouses of the botanical garden in Meise with a friend, Jessica who also does modeling.

After this very first experience in portrait photography, during more than 2 years, I had a lot of shootings in order to improve myself and expand my portfolio.

At the end of February 2020, I decided to become a freelance photographer as complementary job.
